Title Tag Optimization

The Title tag is considered to be one of the most important factors as far as the algorithmic weight given to them by search engines, they are even more important than the content on the web page and the links pointing to them. Even though it is often over looked by webmaster and others attempting to optimize their website for targeted search engine traffic.

It functions just like a title of a book. Say for example, you need a book on "Internet marketing". You walk into a library search all this titles, see a book titled "Best internet marketing tips", and take that book. Fortunately, there were some other books in the library, which had more information on Internet marketing than you took but, their title didn't convey that. Search engines also do the same thing, they look at the title of a web page and decide what it is about.

One of the easiest ways to maximize the positioning in Search engine is simply make use of keywords in post titles, when it comes to blog optimization I believe that the web page and post titles are incredibly important. Google in particular seems to value the words in your title incredibly highly.

The research shows that people search the web a lot, for names of products and people and that they are often quite specific to their searches. So it is always a best idea to make title reflect the things written.

  1. The Title Tag is the most important part of a Web page to optimize. Before a search engine spider even looks at your website it first analyzes your title tags. This means that if you do not have a unique title tag for each page than it is very likely that page could be considered duplicate content and not be indexed by each search engine. There are many factors that need to be considered when optimising your title tags.
    * The TITLE tag should be placed within the tag
    * Should contain the most important keyword that appears on the Web page
    * The characters should be limited to 40-70 including spaces between
    * The most relevant keyword phrase should be placed at the beginning of the text
    * It should read well and contain a marketing message.
